Caffe Primo Chain

 

Caffe Primo of Adelaide, South Australia, is a group of 20+ cafe/restaurants that specialises in providing good quality meals at value prices.  When making plans to expand his restaurant chain in metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia, owner Dino Vettesse, knew exactly what type of Point of Sale Management system he had to have.  "It absolutely had to be easy to install and learn.  We have a lot of casual staff in this industry, and they need to be able to pick up a new system and become productive very quickly."

Lenzerheide Restaurant

 

The Lenzerheide Restaurant at Hawthorn in South Australia is an award winning fine dining restaurant owned and operated since 1989 by Kathy Kitt.  When Kathy opened the Lenzerheide, after successfully operating the Alphutte Restaurant with her partner for a number of years, she embarked on what was to become one of the success stories of the South Australian hospitality industry.  

The Lenzerheide has won many industry awards in the years since, including Restaurant of the Year and Best European restaurant, and its management team is always looking for ways to improve the business.   As part of the management improvement program, Kathy and Andrew implemented RedCat's SmartPOS from Possum IT, an authorised reseller of RedCat,  in the year 2000.  "I was surprised at how quickly everybody learned the system.  It was a matter of days, not months", said Kathy.

The Strand

 

Tus & John Papatolis own and operate two very successful cafe/restaurants, The Strand at Glenelg and Kava at Marryatville in South Australia.  They have a combined near 40 years experience in hospitality, the last 6 of which they have been operating The Strand.

When Tus and John took over the Strand they identified four platforms critical to the success of their business - outstanding service to customers, quality food, skilled and personable staff and operating systems to manage the business.  The existing POS system did not have all the functionality they needed to effectively manage their business.  That's when they evaluated a number of other systems, and decided to implement RedCat's SmartPOS and SmartREST from Possum IT, an authorised reseller of RedCat.

Tus also uses the integrated Financial system which links his wages, debtors, creditors and banking seamlessly to the POS system.   "This feature has easily cut 10 to 15 hours per week from the time I spent in administration tasks" says Tus.

Citrus Restaurant

Killara Food Centre

 

Phillip & Helen Myers have owned the Killara Food Centre in Mount Gambier for more than 13 years, and are always on the lookout for ways to improve the business.  From the time they took it over they’ve grown it from a simple deli to a thriving mixed business/café  When it came time to review their Point of Sale and Business Management Systems, Phillip and Helen chose RedCat, from Possum IT, an authorised reseller of RedCat.
